What these machines fill

All these machines handle liquids, pastes, granulates, powders and solid pieces. The doser is what changes based on product, and it is specified from how your product behaves. A fine powder that fluidises, a sauce that strings and a free-flowing granulate each need a different approach, and the wrong choice shows up as fill variance at speed rather than at commissioning.

Format matters as much as dosing. A stick suits a dose that pours and a sachet suits a wider pack with a larger printed face, and the two use film differently for the same fill, which is worth settling before the machine is specified. Read more here.

Machine, dosing and film

Single dose lines consume packaging material at a rate that makes film, not the machine, the number that decides whether the line pays. A sachet packing machine running 800 packs a minute gets through reel stock faster than most producers expect, and material that has not been matched to the equipment turns up as seal failures and scrap rather than as a saving.

We supply both sides. Machines are specified alongside the stick pack film or sachet film roll they will run, and the material is available from commissioning rather than left for you to source separately once the equipment lands. Barrier structure, sealant layer and recyclable options are settled as part of the same conversation.

Built for growth

Most installations start with the machine and its dedicated loading system. From there, transfer systems, in-line weighing, vision inspection and cartoning can all be added as end of line packaging once volumes justify them, because the machines are built to integrate with secondary packaging equipment.

FAQs

FAQs

Which format is right for my product?

This depends on how much film you can afford per unit and how much of the pack has to carry branding. Stick pack offers the most value on material cost; whereas sachet has more print area and pack width. A capsule machine is the only option if the product goes into a machine, usually a coffeemaker. If you are unsure, send us the product and the volumes and we can help you figure out the best solution.

Which format uses the least packaging film?

Stick pack, by a clear margin among the flexible formats. Folding a single ribbon into a three-sided tube uses around a third less material than sealing two faces together into a four-sided sachet holding the same dose. Over a year at volume that difference is usually larger than the difference in machine price.

Do you supply the packaging material as well as the machine?

Yes for stick pack and sachet film, which is specified alongside the machine and available from commissioning. Ask us about capsule lidding film and empty capsules separately. Get in touch with the team here.

How long does a machine take to install?

It depends on the specification and what it is integrating with, but installation, commissioning and operator training are handled by our UK-based engineers, with servicing and maintenance, including training and spare parts, all handled in house by us.
